Turning Point Summit: The Summit was not about conservatism, “one nation under god”, traditional values, revival, destiny, or Making America Great Again. The Summit, as with all Republican outreach programs for women and minorities, was about White Christian Male Supremacy. There can be no Supremacy unless The Others are less important, less worthy. There can be no Male Supremacy unless Women are in servitude to Men.
Where children grow up seeing pedophiles and rapists protected because they are the wealthy and powerful adults in political, business, and religious circles, the society raises another generation of powerful pedophiles and rapists. Where children know they lack healthcare, food, and shelter because their government funds billionaires and the military industry, society bears the fruit of its angriest citizens.
Women can change the outcomes, have the power to change the outcomes, and must unite to create the changes in which the outcomes empower women.
In USA history, our history, people have willingly believed absurdities and willingly committed, or at least approved, atrocities. Extremisms in US religion, politics, and in the divisions created by a capitalist society make this cycle difficult to break.
Patterns in our lives that lead to more of the same problems can be broken. A useful strategy is to Describe the Event, List Thoughts, List Feelings, List Behaviors. Somewhere in those lists are the reasons that the harmful pattern repeats itself.
Many women enable the systematic radicalization of today's white conservative men. Who are these women?
Women must be the protectors and teachers and leaders of all that is good, fair, kind, and true.
Women rarely must say to each other, "I'm speaking". Even if their talk overlaps, women are better listeners than men. But women are losing this skill, this art. Why is that?
