Modern readers and film audiences are brainwashed to believe that evil is in cultural practice or addictions or aliens. The reality is that the monsters who prey on vulnerable people are people who look like us and live among us. Sometimes the evil wears uniform clothing or leads successful organizations; sometimes they are charismatic and appeal to our imbedded biases. Women must teach others the truth about monsters and evil.
Cults thrive when their followers run from challenges. Today's Republican party is a cult, a criminal enterprise that benefits an elite few. Women must accept the challenge of resistance.
Patterns in our lives that lead to more of the same problems can be broken. A useful strategy is to Describe the Event, List Thoughts, List Feelings, List Behaviors. Somewhere in those lists are the reasons that the harmful pattern repeats itself.
Part 2: Look For The Helpers. Women must comfort, help, and promote women. Relying unconditionally on men for women's safety, security, and fulfillment is delusion. White women helped win the election for the GOP. We must be ready to help, because the GOP will undoubtedly fail women.
During WWII, the British accepted their personal and national struggles to defeat German aggression and prevent German invasion of their islands. Their collective heroism was based on fear but quite rational. In contrast, German people's irrational and cultish beliefs in Hitler empowered his aggression and caused their unimaginable personal sacrifices. Disinformation is a powerful force.
